Norman Stables LLC's Coal Battle will try to sweep Oklahoma's premier races for his generation when he returns for the Grade 3 Oklahoma Derby at Remington Park on Sept. 28. He won the track's Springboard Mile, a points race for the Kentucky Derby, by a half length last Racing Form reports that the son of Coal Front is currently being freshened at Ellis Park following his runner-up finish in the G3 Indiana Derby and a third in the G3 Matt Winn.
